Family was very important to Kate and she was devoted to meeting their needs. Although her primary focus was her home, she was a devoted helpmate to her husband. And at Roberts Body Shop she showcased her talents as a bookkeeper and secretary. She was the most loving, devoted and doting wife to her husband, Richard of whom she shared over 69 and a half years of blissful marriage with. A loving mother and affectionate grandmother who loved spoiling her children, grandchildren and the neighborhood children that she loved as her own. She was very focused on her family but Kate considered family more than just blood relatives. She was the most giving and loving individual, who always put other people's needs before her own. Kate was the most selfless woman ever, all of her love and time was devoted to others. She was always prepared with a cookie and a band-aid from her purse in a time of need. Many loved the baked goods that Kate made with love and was always willing to share. Her trademark rice krispie treats were loved by all who ever tasted them. Kate was very talented, she not only was a fabulous baker but she was an artist as well, her tools were a needle and thread. She enjoyed making crafts from knitting, plastic canvas, embroidery, bead ornaments, to sewing. In her spare time, she loved puzzles of all kinds from jigsaw, word search and word games. She loved her devotional time reading her Bible. Her Bible study was very important to her. Kate was a member of the Northern Ohio Covered Bridge Society. She never missed a chance to express her love of covered bridges be it to her everyday life or visiting them with her husband.
