

Born August 5, 1924 in Athens, Ohio she was the daughter of Peter J. and Alma (Pidcock) Glass. She retired from Therm-O-Disc in 1998. She enjoyed mowing the grass and loved her animals, especially her dog, Tiny. She attended Faith Baptist Church when she was able and was a member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist.
She is survived by her children, Nancy and Arnold Fry, Fred Carsey, Jim and Kathy Carsey, Evelyn Carsey, Trish and Russell Burton, Jesse and Karene Carsey, Sharon and Dave McPeek, Sandy Carsey and Kathy and Don Meadows; grandchildren, Don Zinn, Debbie Zinn, Jim and Gretchen Carsey, Jesse Lee Carsey, Jr., Steve Carsey, Mark Carsey, Jody Carsey, Kathy Carsey, Suzanne, Richard, Dawn Carsey, Don and Angel Carsey, Tracy and Matt Wilson, Jim Holsinger, David McPeek, Jr., Curtis and Sandra McPeek, Jim Reedy, Rhonda Reedy, Regan and Susan Reedy, Dale and Marlene Reedy, Leslie and Dan Applegate, Donald Meadows, Jr., James Burdine, Don and Kecia Zecher, Nancy Burdine, Brian and Kim McPeek, Ralph and Patty Fry, Connie and Rob Pritchard, Rick and Tammy Fry, Reese and Julie Fry and Carrie Fry; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; great-great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Emmitt Carsey and George Columbus; an infant daughter, Carol Carsey; son, Richard Emmitt Carsey; daughter, Jean Murphy; grandchildren, Dicky Carsey, Fremont Burdine, Jr., Jeff Carsey, Anna Rita Carsey; brothers, Jesse Glass, Sheldon Glass, Vern Glass and Ernest Glass; and sisters, Nellie Glass, Elizebeth Glass, Forrest Rose Glass and Alma (Snook) Glass.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Rev. Dave Davenport. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Monday.
