Kathleen A. Bryant, 62, of Ashland, passed away early Thursday morning, March 29, 2018, at UH Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. She was born July 17, 1955, in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, to the late Dorance and Margaret Mildred (Keller) Hill.
Kathleen was the oldest of five children and traveled all over the world during her father's military career. In 1995, she moved to Nova, Ohio and then to Ashland in 2008. She worked at an answering service in West Virginia from 1992-1995. Kathleen was very fond of animals and had her dream job working as the Office Manager at the animal shelter in Ashland where she could get her fill of fluffy hugs. An avid reader, she loved books and was very knowledgeable, often referred to as a "walking encyclopedia". She enjoyed sharing her love of books with the patrons of a library in West Virginia when she lived there.
Music was also a passion and she possessed much knowledge on the subject. Kathleen had a soft spot for children and enjoyed sharing her love of music and learning with them. She loved sports and had a love/hate relationship with the Cleveland Browns as so many others do also.
Kathleen is survived by three children, Robin Hill, Billy Bryant and Lewis Keith (Jessica) Bryant; three grandchildren, Lewis Keith Bryant II, Raymond Hill and Malaina Hill; four siblings, Debra (Larry) Bryant, Joel (Linda) Hill, Bonnie Dolin, and Doreen Wheatly; multiple nieces and nephews; and a beloved aunt, Millie (Madison) Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Ray Bryant.
