Katherine Zimmerman

Katherine Fisher Zimmerman, 94, of Mansfield, died Monday, September 24, 2012. Born August 12, 1918 in Mansfield she was the daughter of John and Anna (Nuber) Fisher. Katherine graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in January 1937 and retired from Westinghouse. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Liederkranz, Sons of Herman and an officer of GBU.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Diana Zimmerman; grandsons, David Michael (McKenzie) Zimmerman and Joseph Ryan Zimmerman; great granddaughter, Phoebe Mae Zimmerman; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Adam Zimmerman; sons, USAF Cadet David Lee Zimmerman and Peter Alan Zimmerman; six sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield conducted by St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
