Johnny was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Peabody-Barnes. A Christian man, he had a special love for God and was a great provider for his family. Johnny loved spending time with his family and friends and fishing especially at Mifflin and Clearfork. He loved life and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed watching westerns, bar-b-ques and family reunions.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrye (Juniel) Maddox; his daughter, April Maddox; his son, Hahson (Regina) Maddox; his grandson, Haarun Maddox; his sisters, Judith (Edward) Lewis and Rakiya Abdul (Jimmy) Alim; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Maxine Gomez, Bernice Jennings, Delores Reavs and Deborah Greene.
