Joan Dickson

Joan P. Dickson, 84, of Mansfield, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Oak Grove Manor. Born May 29, 1926 in Shelby, she was the daughter of Lynn and Mary Washburn. A member of the Olivesburg Methodist Church, Joan retired from Hartman Electric after 30 years. She was an avid camper and enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Dickson of Mansfield; son, Alan Rebecca Dickson of Mansfield; grandchildren, Scott Dickson and Lori Rob Richter, all of Mansfield; great grandchildren, Ashley and Anthony Richter; sisters, Marie Erndt, Sandra Bowersock, and Marylin Young, all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Dickson, and sisters, Maxine Mehall and Helen Woods.

Friends may call Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Joe Platt. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
