Jessie Miceli Sarpa Booth, 86, died Thursday, May 11, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield following an extended illness. She was born in Rende, Italy living in Willard, OH most of her life. Her retirement was spent in Florida and California. Since the 1980's she lived in the Mansfield area. She was a retired inspector for Pioneer Rubber Company, and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mrs. Booth served as President of Resident's Council at Winchester Terrace, as well as representing the nursing home at The Richland County Fair. She enjoyed bingo, as well as helping other residents at the nursing home.
She is survived by; one daughter and son-in-law; Mary & Thomas A. Conner of Mansfield, OH; one son and daughter-in-law; Dr. Emil J. & Barbara Sarpa of Los Altos, CA; four grandchildren; Susan & her fiancé Dennis Crim of Galion, OH; Michael & Susan Sarpa, Mark & Erin Sarpa, and Nancy & Eric Samuelson all of California. A sister, Ellen Marquette of Park Ridge, Ill, She had seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends; Bob and Trude Erik and Kristin Brinley of Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents; Carl & Theresa Constatina Miceli, one brother; Frank Miceli, her first husband; Emil Sarpa Sr., her second husband; Stanley Booth.
Calling hours will be Monday May 15, 2000 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 5 ' 8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday May 16, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, conducted by Father Herb Weber. Burial will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park.
