Jean Annette Lyle Dyer, 43, passed away Monday morning, September 26, 2011 at her home. Born July 6, 1968 in Lima, she is the daughter of James and Marian Jean (Sherman) Lyle. Jean was employed as a Speech- Language Pathologist with MedCentral Health Systems and thoroughly enjoyed her work, developing strong relationships with the patients she was helping. Motherhood was Jean’s most important job and she treasured her time spent with her young son. She was an active member of Crossroads Community Church. She loved to sing and used that gift as a way of expressing her love to her Lord by serving on the praise and worship team at Crossroads. A country girl at heart, she enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and canning and was always up for a trip to a county fair, especially the Hardin County Fair where she grew up. Jean enjoyed photography and scrapbooking in her free time.
She is survived by her husband, Deering Dyer; son, Matthew Deering at home; parents, James and Marian Jean Lyle of Alger, OH; brother, Howard Jacob (Cristal) Lyle of Alger, OH; nephew, Evan Lyle; and in-laws, Doug and Dale Dyer of Georgetown, OH. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jacob and Hannah Sherman and Howard and Elma Lyle.
Friends and family may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Crossroads Community Church, 1188 Park Avenue West, Mansfield. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Senior Pastor Tim Armstrong officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Fairview-McDonald Cemetery, 5302 S.R. 67 in Kenton.
