Jane Ann Imhoff Thompson, 46, of Ashland, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 16, 1959 in Ashland, the daughter of David V. and Rose Marie Farver Imhoff. Jane was a 1977 graduate of Ashland High School. She was employed at Heritage Press for 28 years as the office manager. She also worked at the Mifflin Inn. She was affiliated with Park Street Brethren Church and enjoyed antiques, folk art, music and loved to travel to Myrtle Beach and New York.
Jane is survived by two daughters, Sarah J. Moritz of Ashland and Lana A. Thompson at home; her parents, David V. and Rose Marie Imhoff of Charles Mill Lake; a brother, David L. Imhoff of Ashland; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan D. and Randy Yerian of Hayesville; aunts, Beverly Halsey of Fulton, Missouri, Rita Roper and Janet Grabill both of Ashland; uncle, Bill Linda Farver of Ashland; nephews, Gary and Dustin Imhoff, Josh Gess, Jordan Smart and Jonathan Yerian; niece, Hannah Yerian; numerous cousins and all her special friends.
Jane was preceded in death by a sister, Cherie Lynn Imhoff; grandparents, Gerald and Audrey Imhoff and John and Carrie Farver; and uncles, Bud Halsey, Jim Roper and Sam Grabill.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2005, at Park Street Brethren Church with Dr. Arden Gilmer officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2005, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or to the Ashland County Cancer Association.
