Jack was born on March 26, 1927 in Mansfield, Ohio. He was the son of Harold and Grace (Hergatt) Selby. Jack graduated from Madison High School in 1945, and was a graduate of the Ohio State University. He retired in 1989 from Robert Levin Carpet Company. Jack proudly served in the United States Navy. He married his sweetie pie whom he was madly in love with, Erma (Keefer) Selby. The two shared 70 blessed and joyful years of marriage together. Jack was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who fiercely loved his family. Jack was witty with a little ornery side and could always make you laugh with his sense of humor. He never met a stranger and everyone who met him loved him. He attended Crossroads Community Church. He enjoyed golf, and watching the Indians and Browns.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Erma (Keefer) Selby; his daughters, Robyn (Doug) Wolfe, and Lisa (Paul) Ballow; his grandchildren, Reina Carbetta, Dustin (Rachel) Carbetta, and Natalie (Noah) Lein; step grandsons, Mitch Wolfe and Matt (Grace) Ballow; his great grandchildren, Ryder Carbetta, Charlie Carbetta, Vienna Lein, and Sam Lein; and his step great grandchildren, Lily Wolfe, Madison Ballow, and Everly Ballow. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his twin brother, Richard Selby.
The family will have a Celebration of Life for Jack after the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Selby family.
