Henry “Hank” R. Pohr, III, 78, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 13, 2024, at his home. He was born March 6, 1946. Hank married Jean Rummel Cox June 30, 1980. He retired from Ideal Electric after 25 years as a sales service manager. He then went on to work for and retire from Direct Credit Union’s maintenance department.
He enjoyed using his hands building things, particularly lovely furniture. He was a collector of any kind of tool. Hank would read anything he could get his hands on, even labels on food products. He loved music and scrolling the internet.
Hank is survived by his wife, Jean Pohr; granddaughter, Domonique Pohr; grandson, Henry Pohr V; stepchildren, Mike Cox (Terri) of Lucas, Tim Cox (Jamie) of Ashland, and Cindy Horseley (Wayne) of Mansfield; step-grandchildren, Jason Cox (Hollie), Jake Cox (Nita), Adam Cox (Rachel), Brian Cox (Kendall), Donald Sigler (Danielle), and Cadmon Sigler; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillian (Thorogood) Pohr; sister, Martha Pohr; son, Henry Pohr IV, grandson, Johnathon; and stepson, Scotty Cox.
There will be a Gathering Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield is honored to serve the Pohr family.
