Harvey P. Glasgow, 75, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Mifflin Care Center. Born May 23, 1936 in Mansfield, he was the son of Charles and Nellie (Touby) Glasgow. Harvey was 1954 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School where he was a golfer and also attended Ohio State University in Columbus. He was a longtime member and very active at Foursquare Gospel Church. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail handler and enjoyed playing in post office golf outings. In his free time, Harvey liked playing Bingo and collecting antiques.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sherrie L. (West) Glasgow; children, Ellen (Bill) Ball of Butler and Eileen (Jon) Rose, Elaine (Jonathan) Frasz, Paul Glasgow and Emily Glasgow, all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Justin, Logan, and Landon Ball and Sarah and Whisper Rose; brothers, Wesley Glasgow of Michigan and Kim Glasgow of Washington; sister, Jeanette Gerberich of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Drake.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Mansfield Cemetery conducted by Pastor Thomas Blair. Friends may call prior to the service from 11:30-12:45 at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Memorial Fund.
