Gary Adkins, 59, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Born October 24, 1962 in Mansfield, he was the son of Charles Richard and Phyllis Eileen (Salyers) Adkins.
Gary worked for Terry's Towing for 27 years and enjoyed building model cars. He was a big fan of Western shows with Gunsmoke being his favorite and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Gary loved to fish, especially in the Mifflin area and enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Buddy. He loved his two sons unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Tyler Adkins and Jacob Adkins; his siblings, Chuck Adkins, Vickie Hunt and Kelly Adkins; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Adkins.
A Gathering for Gary will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Wappner Cremation Center, 1327 Ashland Road, Mansfield, Ohio.
