Evelyn Marie Wagner

Evelyn Marie Worner Wagner, 97, died October 31, 2015. Mrs. Wagner was born in Bellville, Ohio on April 16, 1918 to Wilbur and Erma Worner. Mrs Wagner grew up in the Bellville area, attending local schools and graduating from Bellville High School. She was a nanny and did domestic work for families until going to work at Westinghouse, where she retired from after 30 years of service.

Mrs. Wagner enjoyed working in her garden, canning, and cooking. She made many dishes to share with friends and family. She loved to make zucchini bread and cookies. She was an active member of the Ontario United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wagner; parents; four brothers, Richard, Franklin, Rexford, and Cecil Worner; and sister, Maxine Barber. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Wagner; sister, Margie Dailey of Winter Haven, FL; sister-in-law, Beverly Worner of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, conducted by Pastor Peg Welch. Family and friends are invited to visit from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
