Eric R. Maynard

Eric was a 2019 graduate of Black River High School, where he could often be found helping faculty and staff. He was a good kid who left a deep impact on his teachers and fellow students. He recently found a passion for spending time outside and enjoyed being surrounded by nature. Eric was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Christopher and Christina Maynard; his two older brothers, Aaron Yuzva (Marissa Franco) and Kyle Maynard; his paternal grandmother, Denice Maynard; aunts and uncles, Adam Avancini, Anthony (Heidi) Avancini, Kimberly Smith (Sean McBrayer), Brooke Avancini, Angela (Robert) Leonard, Lauren Harder and Ryan Harder; and too many cousins and friends to name here.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Andrew Avancini and Linda Graham; and close family friend, Joseph "Bud" Serfozo.

Friends may call from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 at Black River Education Center Auditorium, 257-A County Road 40, Sullivan, Ohio 44880, where a funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Celebrant Mark Dettmer. If you are able, please wear green, Eric's favorite color.
