Emily was born at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, on April 16, 1986, and was the daughter of Leslie M. and Sandra A. (Stephens) Fulk. She was married to James R. Montgomery and was the mother to two wonderful sons, Tristen J. and Jayce M. Montgomery.
Emily was kind and loving with a beautiful smile and the ability to bring joy to all. Her deepest love was for her two sons. She enjoyed family gatherings and interactions with her brother and seven sisters. Emily had a great personality and made friends easily. Emily was outgoing, selfless, and would do anything to help anyone in need.
A member of the Crestline community since 1994, Emily attended Crestline Schools and was a member on the track and field team. She also enjoyed singing, but most of all palling around with her friends and trying not to get caught by teachers doing what normal mischievous teens do.
Being in Emily’s presence was a treasure, she was a wonderful conversationalist and spoke daily with her mother about any topic. With many goals and plans for her sons and herself, the enormity of this tragedy will surely encompass our lives. Emily’s earthly struggles have ended as she has taken her place with Jesus, and is holding her baby sister, Angela, who became an angel in 1980.
With extreme heartache and sorrows we grieve losing such a special person. Emily believed in helping anyone in need and was an organ donor. Emily is a “Hero” as two people have already received the gift of an organ. Knowing that her gift improved the lives of two people and that a part of Emily lives on brings us comfort.
In addition to her parents, sons, and husband, Emily is survived by sisters, Leslie (Jeff) Kern of Jackson Springs NC, Shelly (Jason) Dixon of Galion, Amy Martin, Sarah (Robert) Storms of Crestline, Laura Fulk of Galion, Tammy Fulk of Florida, Alissa Fulk of Mansfield; one brother, Sandy Fulk of Crestline; paternal grandfather, Herbert L. Fulk of Ashland. Emily was also the niece of Douglas (Jackie) Fulk, Linda Fowler, Shirley (Donald) Racer, Philip Littleton, Mary Estes, Jesse (Myra) Stephens, Carter (Linda) Stephens, Louis Stephens, Lona (Robert) Stewart, Marie (Timothy) Kiser, and Elzie Shepherd.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Fulk; maternal grandparents, Gobel and Leora Stephens; paternal grandmother, Martha “Peg” Fulk; aunt, Julia Shepherd; uncles, Richard Fulk, Lowell Johnson, Jerry Hammons, Richard Fowler, James Stephens, Chester Stephens, and Neil Adams; and cousin, Rachel Kaiser.
