Douglas A. O'Blisk, Sr., 56, of Mansfield, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at his residence. Born February 28, 1955, in Ashland, Ohio, he was the son of Robert and Norma Booth O'Blisk. He had worked for Blevins Manufacturing and enjoyed watching football, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Douglas also enjoyed watching racing and going to races with his friends.
Surviving are a daughter, Katrina Christo of Galion; a son, Douglas Ashley O'Blisk, Jr. of Crestline; five grandchildren, Dacoda, Niko, Julia, Alan and Cole; a sister, Nancy Polk of Mobile, AL; two brothers, Robert O'Blisk of Adel, GA and Keith Weaver of Stanton, VA; and a foster sister, Nancy Barth of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
