Doug was employed by the City of Mansfield-Sewer Department for many years. He loved fishing and was an all-around outdoor person who enjoyed long car drives in the country. He had a love of rock and roll and country music. Doug had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He loved his family and his grandchildren were his whole world.
He is survived by three children, April (Martin) Porter, Charles (Amanda) Alexander and Sierra (Aaron) Tipton; and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Alexander.
He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery at a future date. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner is honored to serve the family.
