Born March 25, 1930 in Sandusky, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harry and Catherine (Morris) Welchons. A 1957 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School she retired from Therm-O-Disc in 1998 following 38 years of service. After her retirement, she worked as a waitress for The Highway Restaurant and the Golden Corral. A very generous lady, she had many friends who she spent time with, loved traveling and adored her dogs.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Eric Cockley, Eben (Erin) Cockley and Meagen Cockley; two sisters, her twin, Dottie (Floyd) Young of Bellville and Gertrude Wade of Sandusky; and a brother, Claude T. (Carol) Welchons of Sandusky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Kenny Parsons; a daughter, Diane Lynn Cockley; and four sisters, Hazel Griffith, Marjorie Sommers, Frieda Lorenze and Mary Alice Gebhard.
Private services will be held with burial in Mansfield Cemetery.
