Donald Lee Baldridge

Donald Lee Baldridge passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Crystal Care Nursing Center at the age of 84. He was born December 5, 1936, in Martin County, Kentucky, one of nine children of the late Francis and Ethel (Davis) Baldridge.

He retired from AK Steel after 30 years of service. Don was a member of Cannonsburg Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as an elder, and Owl Creek Primitive Baptist Church. He also attended many churches in his travels as well. Don was an avid sports fan and closely followed the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. His most favorite times were spent in the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dosie L. Shepherd Baldridge; two daughters, Kathy Shepherd and Andrea (Mark) Beal; seven grandchildren, Tabatha, Ryan, Jacqueline, Tyler, Logan, Sarah and Amanda; seven great-grandchildren, Autumn, Anastasia, Michael, Mira, Aubrey, Aaron and Isaac; and two sisters, Evelyn Moricle and Samantha Durbin. In addition to his parents, he will be greeted in Heaven by two sons, George Baldridge and Timothy Baldridge; a son-in-law, Timothy Shepherd; and six siblings, Pauline, Dixie, Flo, Jack, Francis, and Franklin.

Private family services conducted by Elder Jack Griffith and Elder Darvin Edwards will be observed. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
