David A. Oakley, 52, of Mansfield, passed away at his home Thursday, April 1, 2010 after an extended illness. David would have been 53 on April 21. David was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; his stepfather, Burnard; and his son, Aaron. He was survived by his mother Arvetta, who passed away on April 21, 2010. He is survived by his sons, David and Josh; his brothers, Tim and Wayne; and his sisters, Cindy, Loretta, and Sheila. David was also survived by a special friend, Betty Myers. David had worked as a truck driver and construction worker before becoming disabled. He had been disabled for the past several years with a heart condition. David had served in the U.S. Army.
A funeral service honoring David and his mother, Arvetta J. Littleton will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield, conducted by Rev. Herman Copley. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
