David Howard Fike

He retired from the Air National Guard in 1972 following 23 years serving our country. He then worked for Duff Trucking retiring in 1991 and was a member of the Local Teamsters. He was also a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge #151 F&AM, Chapter, Council and Commandery. He enjoyed giving all his grandchildren "nicknames" and loved being on his amature radio.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Fike; his children, Jerry L. (Elaine) Fike, Chris (Laurie) Fike, Carol (John) Ringer and Beth (Skip) Surre; ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Albert (Gloria) Fike; several nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law, Von Dunlap and Robert (Shirley) Wise.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Dunlap.

Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland.  A private family service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
