With his wife and daughter by his side, David Lee Allen, at the young age of 62, went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2023, after many months of battling a very aggressive cancer. He was born in France to Lauren and Wynona (Ross) Allen. David was a loving husband, father, and Papaw. He was a well-known and respected lineman for 40 years.
On June 14, 1991, he married the love of his life, Diane Webb. Together they raised one son, Jeffery A. Gerger Jr. and one daughter, Heather L. (Gerger) John. While contact may have been lost, he had three additional daughters, Amanda, Jennifer, and Crystal, as well as several grandchildren of whom he did not have the pleasure of knowing.
David had a passion for gardening, hunting, fishing, and crabbing. He loved playing with his five grandchildren, traveling with his wife and playing Uno by the pool. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and nature in all its glory.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; his five children, Jeffery, Heather, Mandy, Jenny, and Crystal; his grandchildren, Caleb (Bestest Buddy), Kyleigh and Zoey (his babies), Logan, and Tessa; his brothers, Michael, Jody, and Ronnie (Jennifer); and his sisters, Lauren and Debbie; his mother-in-law, Kathleen; four brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Tonia), Tony (Lessie), Paul (JuLee) and Michael (Tracy); as well as several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Lauren; his mother, Wynona; his father-in-law, Lee Roy Webb; and his brother-in-law, Roy Allen Webb.
