Her family, especially her grandchildren, were most important in her life. Hosting holiday celebrations with her extended family were a special joy. Darlious enjoyed attending auctions and garage sales, listening to country music and was an avid reader.
She is survived by four sons, Ernie (Gina) Bandy, Jeff (Brenda) Bandy, Jerry (Cory) Bandy and Rick (Belinda) Bandy, all of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Nichole, Angela, Rob, Jeremy, Allie, Aaron, Melody and Rachelle; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Blankenship of Richmond, VA and Jay Blankenship of Mansfield; two sisters, Margaret Brown of Mansfield and Doris Houchins of Richlands, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Bandy; son, Michael Bandy; three brothers, Buford, John and Walt Blankenship; and two sisters, Mary Whitcomb and Judy Milligan.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Rev. Glenn Phillips will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
