Dana L. Brenner, 64, of Sunbury, died Monday morning, November 12, 2007, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky after an extended illness. Born August 24, 1943, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Arthur and Lillian Griffon Wilford. A 1962 graduate of Union High School, Dana worked for New Departure and 3C Highway and was a stay at home mom. She was a past member of the Pavonia United Methodist Church. She was known for her great cooking and her numerous crafts including making Christmas decorations, calligraphy, and stitching. She was well loved by her family and friends. She was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians, Jeopardy, and Bill O'Reilly.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Brenner; three children, Andrew Brenner of Delaware, Matthew Lisa Brenner and Melanie Brenner all of Sunbury; two granddaughters, Addison and Lauren Brenner; one step granddaughter, Jillian Cantor; one brother, Paul Paula Wilford; one sister, Frances Charles Bowman; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Frederic Wilford.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Gary Streiff. Burial will follow in Pavonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
