Cleo E. Baker Young, age 70, of Ashland, died Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Ashland Samaritan Regional Health System following an extended illness. She was born April 18, 1937 in Ashland, Ohio, to Howard D. and E. Ruth Hershey Baker. She was a beautician and homemaker. She was also a member of Park Street Brethren Church a member of The Women's Missionary Society and Christian Heirs Sunday school class. Cleo also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori D. Pizzo of Centreville, VA and Cynthia A. Dennis Edwards of New London, OH; one son Daryl E. Kimberly Young of Gilbert, AZ.; seven grand children; Shelby, Aubrey, and Faith Edwards, Corbin, Colleen and Caleb Young and Nathaniel Pizzo; three brothers, Dwight Elva Baker of Pasadena, CA, Mervin Esther Baker of Mansfield and Robert Marilyn Baker of Camarillo, CA; four sisters, Fern Theriac of Vincennes, IN, Helen Don Walters of Ashland, OH, Trudie George Lee of Canfield, OH and Jean Mike Schlabach of Oregon, OH; and seventeen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bernice Young, brother Marion Baker, son-in-law Jim Pizzo, and brother-in-law Regis Theriac.
Friends may call at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Park Street Brethren Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Arden Gilmer. Visitation also will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Park Street Brethren Church.
