Carol A. Neutzling, 78, of Mansfield, passed away early Thursday morning, March 10, 2016, at her home. She was born February 25, 1938, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Carl Daugherty and Mary McLaughlin Daugherty.
She was a beloved wife and great mother who enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and line dancing. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking, sharing her famous triple berry and cherry pies with family and friends. She was devoted to her children and adored her grandchildren.
Carol graduated from The Ohio State University and was a teacher at Madison School for 25 years. She was a faithful member of Woodville Grace Brethren Church. Carol enjoyed spending her winters in the warm Florida sun.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Neutzling; son, Carl Neutzling; daughters, Connie (Mark) Cates and Brenda (Chris) Mack; six grandchildren, Drew Neutzling, Amy (Andrew) Stofer, Brett Neutzling, Allison Cates, Cameron Mack and Cyle Mack; one great-grandson on the way; two sisters, Bev (Dale) Oswalt and Joyce Olinger.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with additional visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ron Smals will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodville Grace Brethren Church or MedCentral OhioHealth Hospice.
