Brian "Toby" Scott Dorsey

He is survived by his mother, Jenny (Goddard-Dorsey) Schaefer and step-father, Matthew of Ontario; his father, Brian Dorsey of Mansfield; Toby's little brother, who looked up to him so much, Braden Dorsey of Ontario; half brother, Seth Dorsey and half sister, Alexandria Dorsey, both of Columbus. Toby is also survived by his grandmother, Arna Goddard of Ontario; grandmother, Phyllis Woolley of Madison; uncle and aunt, Russell and Niki Goddard of Lexington and his cousins, Kirsten, Haley, Jasmine and Jayden; aunt and uncle, Trish and Dan George of Apple Valley and his cousins, Jacob, Michael and Chloe; aunt and uncle, Michele and Vince Yoder of Wooster and his cousins, Jacob, Jarod and Emma; aunt, Chris Rogers and his cousins, Zach, Hannah and Ryan; step grandparents, Jon and Kathy Schaefer of Shelby; step aunt and uncle, Heather and Scott Bowden of Galena and cousins, Claire, Charlotte and Carter.

Toby was so young and full of life and love. He always showed his love to those around him. He had such a great sense of humor and was always making others laugh. Toby had the best fake British accent that anyone could have and could do many more accents at a drop of a dime. He was very smart and creative, and was an aspiring artist and very good writer of both songs and poems. He had big plans to go to college and become an artist and accomplish many other goals and dreams. Toby's all time favorite person was the artist/singer, Ellie Goulding. He loved her music and quoted her lyrics all the time.

His best friend, and he would refer to her as his "fav", was his cousin Kirsten Goddard-please know that he will always be with you! Toby had many family and friends that loved him very much. A few friends that were always there for Toby throughout the past few years were Alli Lange and Emily Toth. Thank you for your friendship. Toby loved his two dogs, Tanner and Zeke and referred to them as his "babies". Toby was a Christian and was faithful in God, loving everything about Him.

A message from your mommy-or you would call me, Ma-You and your brother have always been my world and my heart and that will never change. A part of me is gone that I will never get back. You were my wonderful, beautiful boy who could always make me laugh and cry. You were so smart, loving, caring and giving. I will forever be grateful for the time God gave me with you, even though it was cut way too short. I will always remember our long talks together and watching our favorite show, "Friends". Your voice was as beautiful as your heart! Whatever pain you were in, son, is gone now, but my love will never be. I love you, my son, now and forever, and may you be at peace. I will be seeing you in my dreams until we meet again.

Toby knew his step-dad, Matthew Schaefer, as his dad. They spent so many precious times together and Matthew called him his son. Your dad (Matthew) will always love you Toby and he will always have you in his heart.

Thank you to all the family and friends for your support and special friends, Earl and Hope Lothery of Lexington and to the woman Toby referred to as "Aunt" Theresa Mott of Crestline. Toby had great admiration for his art teacher, Mrs. Buker, and always said how much he loved her. He attended Ontario Christian Fellowship Church and was a member of the Youth Group. He was currently a senior at Ontario High School.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Ontario Christian Fellowship Church, 636 S. Lexington-Springmill Road with Pastor John Risner officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Schaefer family to assist with funeral costs.
