William R. Martin Sr.

William R. Martin Sr., 90, of Toms River Township, passed away on Saturday, August 18th, 2024. WIlliam was born on February, 10th, 1934 to parents, Leander and Mary (nee Ruf) Martin. William grew up in Manasquan, NJ. Upon getting married, William and his wife, Kathleen, moved to Lakehurst, NJ. It is there that they had their sons, Brian and Scott. A short time later, William and his family relocated to Manchester Twp. It is here that he remained until earlier this year. William was a career truck driver for Clayton Concrete in Lakewood Twp. for 30 plus years. A former Marine Corp veteran, William donated his time to volunteer with the local VFW, AmVets and the American Legion.

William is predeceased by his wife, Kathleen and survived by five children.

A visitation for William will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. Cremation will be held privately. A committal with military honors will occur Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at The Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Condolences and tributes can be left for the Martin family on this website.
