

William P. DiGioia, 88, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at home. Born and raised in Jersey City, he moved to Old Bridge in 1959 where he raised his family. He later lived in Farmingdale where he owned and operated Rose Dry Cleaning with his wife, Rose. Bill was an avid Yankee fan and loved to sing. He sang with the Oceanaires Barbershop Chorus in Toms River and the Big Apple Chorus in N.Y.C. where he sang in Carnegie Hall. He and his wife loved their time singing in the choirs of St. Veronica's Roman Catholic Church in Howell and the Church of St. Monica in Jackson.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose, in 2009 and by five brothers and two sisters. Surviving are two sons, Dominic DiGioia of Howell, and William DiGioia of Stuart, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanne and Michael Carrara of Jackson, and Rosemary and Michael Savoye of Howell; a brother, Louis DiGioia of Whiting; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Fri., from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester. A funeral mass will be held Sat. at 10 am at the Church of St. Monica in Jackson. Entombment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
