We are saddened to announce the passing of Saul Wolfert z”l of Manchester, NJ on Tuesday, February 9th. He was married for 51 years to Hazel Wolfert z"l, and was the father of Terry Miller and Robert Wolfert (Lisa), grandfather to Ellen Life (Travis), Beth Miller, Joshua z”l, Sarah, Hannah, and Daniel Wolfert, and great-grandfather to Samuel Life.
Born in Dover, NJ, Saul grew up in in Brooklyn, NY. He was a WWII US Army (Aircorp Division) Veteran. Saul worked as a locksmith for Courtney Lock and Hardware in the Bronx for 35 years and retired in 1987. He moved to Manchester in 1987, where he was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and Player’s Club – involved in both acting and stage lighting. Saul loved performing as well as being on the crew behind the scenes. He had an incredible curiosity for knowledge and science and had a great sense of humor.
