Michael P. Kawan, 69, of Manchester, NJ, passed away on Tuesday September 18, 2018, peacefully at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Summit, NJ, Mike also grew up there before moving to Manchester 30 years ago. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a driver for Hurley Limousine Company for over thirty years. Mike stayed in touch with his inner child with being a fan of WWE Wrestling. He was a diehard New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching the New York Giants and Notre Dame Football games. Mike was also a fan of gambling on horseracing and scratch offs, and jokingly had a seat of his own at Favorites in Toms River. But what he enjoyed and loved above all were his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.
Mike was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Gail, who passed in 2017, with whom he is now happily with in heaven, his parents, Anthony and Angela Kawan and his brother Joseph. He is survived by his devoted daughters Cristina Kawan-Hemler and her husband Rick, of DIngman’s Ferry, PA and his little girl forever Jenna Kawan of Manchester, NJ, and his cherished grandchildren, Collin Kawan-Hemler, Isabella Hemler and Evelina Baker.
Famjly and friends are invited to the visitation at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on Friday September 19, 2018, from 9:30-10:30 am, with a service to take place at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
