Laurie Travers

Laura “Laurie” Travers, 50, passed away with her family by her side after a brave battle with cancer at St. Peter’s University Hospital on November 15, 2013. Laurie was born in Brooklyn, NY, grew up in Howell, NJ and spent the best years of her life in Franklin Park, NJ, with her fiance and the love of her life James Moise.

Laurie went to Saint Joseph’s High School, graduated from Howell High School and attended Brookdale Community College. Her employment included banking, managing a retail store and her most cherished role, helping to care for her second mother, Mary Moise.

Laurie was predeceased by her mother Lorraine Travers. She leaves behind her loving father, Stephen Travers, her brother and his wife, Stephen and Mary Travers, of Ormond Beach, FL, her sister Beth and her husband Peter Lodato of Barnegat, NJ and her sister Christina and her husband Robert Schmidlin, of Barnegat, NJ, her adoring nephews, Peter, Brian and Kevin and her nieces Amanda, Sarah, Casey, Emily and Megan. Closest to her heart, she leaves her beloved Jimmy and her cat Mikala. Laurie’s wit and sense of humor will be missed but our love for her will be in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ 08759, on Tuesday Nov. 19, 2013 from 3-7 pm with a Funeral Service to be held at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurie’s memory can be made to the Lustgarten Foundation (www.lustgarten.org) for research for pancreatic Cancer.
