James H. Pape, 85, of Manchester passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday November 24, 2017 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Born in Bronx, NY, Jim lived in Howell for many years before moving to Manchester 7 years ago. Jim was an Army Veteran serving his country proudly during the Korean War. He worked in management for Supermarkets General and retired after 28 years. After retiring, Jim was the owner of Manhattan Bagel in Lacey, NJ. He was most happy when spending time with his loving family.
Born to the late Fred and Anna Pape, and predeceased by his brother Frank, Jim is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Annette, his devoted daughter Susan Pape and son, Michael Pape and his wife Melissa, his 3 cherished grandchildren; Caitlinn, Michael and Camryn, his sister in law Helga Walling and his many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday November 29, 2017 from 4 -8 pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ 08759.
