Jacqueline Brown, 80, of Manchester New Jersey, passed away quietly at home on Friday, April 28, 2023. Jacqueline was born in Tallahassee Florida. She relocated back to New Jersey in 1988, after living in Atlantic City for just a little over a decade, where she taught High School English and Drama. Upon her return to New Jersey, she lived over two decades in Jackson, a short stint in Neptune, and finally settled in Manchester after her retirement as an educator. Jacqueline finished her career as a dedicated Guidance Counselor helping to guide and shape the lives of hundreds of her former students. She loved to travel, was an avid lover of sports and her favorite pastime was playing a good game of Scrabble. Jacqueline always thought of others first and will truly be missed by all.
Jacqueline is survived by her son and only child Johnny Mayo, of Decatur, GA., grandson Myles, sisters Gwen Sanders and Jestine Grant of Savannah, GA, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday May 6, 2023, from 11-12:30 pm, followed by a memorial service from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in honor of Jacqueline to the National Kidney Foundation.
