Ernest Philip Muller of Manchester passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at home. Ernie was born in Bronx, N.Y. He was raised by his parents Ernest P. Muller and Madeline Schupke in Yonkers, N.Y. where he later met Anja Stueber, his beloved wife and lifelong companion.
Mr Muller was a Systems Analyst Project Lead for the Orange and Rockland Utilities in Spring Valley, NY where he retired. He proudly served his country from 1951-1953 in the U.S. Navy Reserve during the Korean Conflict and graduated from NYU with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Manchester and served on the church council. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Anja and spending time with his family. He was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed sports and he volunteered in the Leisure West Village community.
Mr. Muller is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anja Muller; two sons, Peter Muller and his wife, Vicki Leigh, of Evergreen, CO and Timothy Muller of Porter Corners, NY; a daughter, Victoria Muller and her husband Lance Ladson of Yonkers; NY; six grandchildren, Christine, Melissa, Eric, Max, Lance II and Philip, and six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Michael, Lucy, Ethan, Derek Javier and Dixie Pearl.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 17th from 9 – 11 a.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester N.J. Immediately afterward, a funeral service will be held from 11 – 11:30 a.m, with Pastor Daniel Berteau of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Manchester, officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, NY.
