Deidre Lynn Shanahan "Dee"

Deidre Lynn ‘Dee' Shanahan (Olsson) passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7th 2022, after a long fight with cancer. She is predeceased by her Mother, Betty Jane Olsson; Father and Mother In-Law, Richard and Lillian Shanahan; and Sister In-Law, Maureen Shanahan. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Kevin Shanahan; Daughter Danielle Shanahan (and fiancé Maxwell Lieberman); Son, Collin Shanahan ( and partner Rebecca Nicholaou).

She is also survived by her twin sister, Debra Rothwell (Nicholas), Brother Raymond Olsson (Laura); Brother Richard Olsson (Peggy); Brother In-Law Richard Shanahan (Linda) and Sister In-Law Kathleen Bliszcz (Joseph); and many Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

Deidre was born on May, 15 1959 in Elizabeth, NJ. She was raised in Union, NJ, and was a graduate Union High. She began dating her husband, Kevin, in 1975 and they married in 1988, spending a total of 47 years together. They lived together in Woodbridge, NJ, then East Windsor, NJ, then finally settling in New Egypt, NJ, where they raised their family for the last 21 years. Deidre’s greatest joy in life was her children, and loved being a Mom, Deidre loved spending her days at the beach and traveling with her close friends & family.
