Clara Elizabeth Simon

Clara Elizabeth Simon, age 80, of Manchester Township, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Born in Trenton, NJ. Clara lived in North Brunswick, NJ, for many years before moving to Manchester in 2001. She owned her own Ceramics Shop, Hand Krafters Korner, while living in North Brunswick, where she was able to enjoy her talent and love of ceramics and crafts. She had often gone to several craft shows, and even worked for them as well. Clara had also worked for Opportunity Knocks, a DDD corporation, in Monmouth County. She had a passion for helping and loving everyone.

Besides her work life, Clara enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and playing her penny machines. She was an amazing cook and baker, and her family absolutely loved eating her Hungarian meals and desserts. She even started to teach her granddaughter and great grandson how to make her Hungarian meals to ensure her legacy was passed down. What Clara loved and enjoyed the most was spending time with her family.

Clara was predeceased by her son Robert J. Simon. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Joseph Simon, her loving son, Bill Simon and his fiancé, Stacie Roberts, her cherished grandchildren; Christine Bowen and her husband David Bowen, Joseph Robert Simon and Joey Hendershot; her great grandchildren; Robert Joseph Simon and Alex Bowen, her nephew, Alex Fleischer and daughter in law, Sandy Mancino.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 11 to 3 pm, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. A repass will follow at Donovan's Bar and Grill at 3:30 pm.
