Anthony Acampora, 83, of Manchester passed away Saturday at Geraldine Thompson Care Center in Allenwood. Born in Naples, Italy he moved to the U.S. in 1957. He lived in Old Bridge before moving to Manchester 16 years ago.
Mr. Acampora was a Senior Technical Advisor for Johnson & Johnson in North Brunswick for 30 years before retiring in 1993. He was an avid bowler, and he loved to fish, garden and dance. .
Mr. Acampora is survived by Florence, his beloved wife of 56 years, his loving daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and Siegfried Schock of Toms River, his brother Unberto of Naples, Italy, his sisters Giuseppina and Silvana of Naples, Italy, and his grandchildren, Nina, Anton and Alex of Toms River. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester , NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. ..
