Anne P. VanWhy, 91, of Whiting passed away Monday March 18, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wyoming, Pa Anne had lived in Sayreville before moving to Whiting in 1993. Anne worked as a Bookkeeper for the OBGYN’s of East Brunswick for 10 years before retiring in 1993. Anne was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, Whiting and was very active in her Crestwood Village Community where she belonged to the Women’s Club, Residents Club, Artist Guild, Shuffle Board, Bocci and Bridge Clubs.
Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband George in 1982 as well as her siblings, Joseph James, Doris Carney, Mary Lavelle, Theresa O’Brien and most recently Connie Roy. Surviving are her loving children, daughter Patricia McKinnon, sons, George David VanWhy and his wife Genevieve, Glenn VanWhy and his wife Kate, six adoring grandchildren, John, David, Ashley, Michelle, Christopher, Matthew and her seven great grandchildren, Carly, Lukas, Kayla, Emily, James, Ava and Mia. Anne is also survived by her sister Betty O’Brien and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and will be missed terribly.
