Al was a proud New Yorker, veteran of the Korean War, husband and Father. He had a few passions, specifically: his grandchildren, music, his grandchildren, baseball, his grandchildren, the stock market, and his grandchildren.
He enjoyed playing his trumpet, listening to Louie Armstrong, playing pool and second base. He was a competitive croquet player, bocce, ping pong, and whiffle ball batter, always looking for extra at bats or bending the rules.
He was a wonderful golf teacher and was always ready to offer tips. He wasn’t adverse to moving the golf ball with his foot a little either!
Al especially loved Dan’s cooking, and learned to appreciate fine red wine. His daughter Diana inherited his athleticism and noticed at a young age that she was a natural lefty batter!
We are heartened to know Al is joining his beloved Lillian. He knows his three sisters will miss him dearly.
Al leaves his son, Daniel and daughter in law Paula, his daughter Diana and son in law Ron, his grandchildren Nicholas and Valeri, his sisters, Babe, Camille, Rosalie and brother in law Frank. He also leaves nieces and nephews who loved to make him laugh.
