Nancy D. Sturtevant of Manchester passed away suddenly on September 24, 2014 at the Elliot Hospital. A lifelong resident of Manchester, she was born here on May 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Lionel and Lillian (Durost) Croteau.
Nancy was a graduate of West High School, class of 1967. She had been employed as an electronic technician by the Allen-Bradley Co. for many years and later as a Deli clerk at the East Side Plaza Hannaford Supermarket.
Nancy loved the quiet life and enjoyed reading, animals and nature.
She is survived by her partner of 42 years and husband, Frank A. Sturtevant of Manchester; a sister, Helen Pilotte and her husband Roger of Lynn, MA; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. The funeral ceremony was held in the McHugh Funeral Home on Monday at noon. The Rev. Doug Rickard presided. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
