Maureen P. Moynihan, 67, of Bedford, died February 10, 2018 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness. She was born in Manchester on November 9, 1950 the daughter of Charles and Esther (See) Murray, Sr. She grew up in Manchester, was educated in the Queen City school system and was a graduate of Immaculata High School, Class of 1968.
Following her graduation, she was employed with the New England Telephone as a customer service representative with over 40 years of service. She was an active member of the Jasper Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers and the local IBEW Union for more than 40 years. Maureen was a quiet individual who enjoyed her time spent tending to her garden and caring for her grandson. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was predeceased by her father Charles Murray, Sr. in 2017, her mother Esther Murray in 1974 and her brother Michael Murray in 2005.
Members of her family include her son Derek Moynihan and his wife Megan and her grandson Talon Moynihan all of Canterbury, her brothers Charles Murray, Jr. and his wife Laure of New York and Martin Murray of New Hampshire, her sister Patricia Murray of Maine, her sisters-in-law Jane Murray of New Hampshire and Karen Tutrone and her husband Joseph of Massachusetts as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There were no calling hours, services were private. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday February 24 from 12 to 3 pm at the Derryfield Restaurant 625 Mammoth Rd. Manchester, NH 03104. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Maureen’s name be made to the Community Hospice House 210 Naticook Rd. Merrimack, NH 03054 or to the charity of one’s choice. The family has entrusted the McHugh Funeral Home with her care.
