Born in Manchester, he was the son of John Sr. and Marlene (Simpson) Nielsen. John was educated in the Manchester public school system and achieved his high school diploma at Central High School. He began his working career at the early age of thirteen, serving as a trusted employee of the Manchester Boys and Girls Club. He maintained that position until he was twenty years old and then transitioned to Manchester Auto Wash. He started as an Attendant there and worked his way up to Manager at Infinity Carwash. John loved to be at work and he cherished the relationships he built with his crew and customers.
John was an animal lover and a film fanatic. He loved to make jokes, was extremely witty and he kept everyone around him laughing, even through the pain of his illness. John was a caring, hardworking, dependable man and one of the most honest people to come across. He was a special person who will never be forgotten.
John is survived by his loving parents, John Sr. and Marlene Nielsen; brother, Steven and his partner, MaryEllen Grenier; his beloved nieces, Alexis Nielsen, Autumn Morgan and Jennifer Hureau; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Per John’s wishes, there will be no services.
