Born in Beverly, MA on July 16, 1928 to Bertha (Lee) & William Keaney, Frank was a longtime employee at the Creese & Cook Tannery in Danvers, Massachusetts before retiring in Manchester, New Hampshire and later in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He enjoyed volunteering at the local elementary schools with the Foster Grandparent Program in both locations. He also enjoyed playing shuffleboard at the local American Legion halls and social clubs, where he earned many trophies.
Predeceased by his siblings: Paul Keaney of Framingham MA, William Keaney Jr of Beverly MA, Alan Keaney of Lynn MA, John (Jack) Keaney of Wakefield MA, James Keaney of Beverly MA and Elizabeth (Shirley) Swanlund of Riverside CA. Also his longtime partner Irene Saulnier of Woonsocket, RI.
He is survived by his daughters; Judith Hobart of Huntersville, NC, Nancy Thurber of Raleigh, NC and Kathy Coleman and her husband Dan of Weare, NH; a son, Rich Keaney and his wife Laurie, of Manchester NH. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He will be interred at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen NH on Monday May 15th at 10 a.m.
