Edna A. Sysyn of Manchester, died March 9, 2015 at the Community Hospice house after a long illness. She was born in Newburyport, Mass. on September 1, 1920 the daughter of Kazmir and Katarzyna (Noga) Rybka. When she was young, her family moved to Manchester where she was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester Central High School Class of 1938A.
Following her graduation, she was employed at the R.G. Sullivan 7-20-4 Cigar Co. and also at the News & Card Shop on Amherst St. but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Edna will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter Sysyn and by her sister Margaret Lenczycki.
Members of her family include her son John Sysyn, her daughter Donna Baumann and her husband Paul all of Manchester and her grandson Mark Lombardo of Quincy, Mass. as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There wee no calling hours. Services were private. The family requests that memorial donations in Edna’s name be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire 814 Elm St. Suite 300 Manchester, NH 03101.
