Mr. Donald Cushing

He was employed as a manager at Blakes Restaurants for over 34 years and a courier for TD Bank.

Don served his country in the NH Army national Guard and a member of the Derryfield CC playing for many years with his numerous friends. He will be missed by all his family, friends and neighbors.

He loved to travel with wife, Chris especially to Aruba, Greece, Hawaii and numerous other places.

Don also had a very special love for his grandson and best friend Brandon who is autistic. They were happiest driving through the neighborhood in the golf cart meeting and talking to everyone for more than 20 years.

He is predeceased by his parents and brother Willis Cushing. He leaves behind his wife, Chrysanthe (Tsoumbanos) Cushing to whom he was married to for over 49 wonderful years. “His love made me happy; his love gave me strength; my love is yours forever”. His son Ronald Cushing and his wife Faith, granddaughter, Amanda Sgro and her husband Joseph, all of Beaufort, SC. Stepchildren Debra Barnett and James Bergeron, granddaughter Cassandra Barnett, grandson Brandon Barnett. In laws John and Sheila Tsoumbanos, Chris Marra and other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Crest Nursing Home, the Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester & Southern New Hampshire, and his hospice providers for their care and support through this difficult time.

Calling hours will be held at McHugh Funeral Home 283 Beach St. Manchester, NH on Friday January 3rd, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm.

Memorial services will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at a later date.
