David “Dave” Anthony Collins, age 68, of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024 at the Catholic Medical Center after a long illness. Born on February 18, 1955, he was the son of the late Laurence and Marilyn (DeSpencer) Collins.
Dave was a lifelong resident of Manchester and graduated from Trinity High School. He spent most of his career on the road as a truck driver, working for various companies over the years. He was a beloved member of the Davignon Club and had many passions, learning 40 plus hobbies throughout his lifetime. This made him knowledgeable in many topics and allowed him to connect with anyone. Dave’s sense of humor and wit were just a couple of the many reasons everyone loved him so much. He will always be remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.
Dave is survived by Jane Collins of Manchester, his two daughters, Kellie Collins of Manchester and Maura Nolan and husband, David of Manchester; six siblings, Meg Baker and husband, George of Manchester, Kevin Collins and wife, Kathy of Hooksett, Kathy Barnett of Manchester, Chris Collins and husband, Chris of Raymond, Jonathan Collins of Colorado Springs, CO; sister-in-law, Amy Kazakoff of Swampscott, MA; three grandchildren, Alana, Raelynn and Camden; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Paul Collins.
Calling hours for Dave will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McHugh Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 283 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104. A Celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dave’s favorite place, the Davignon Club at 218 Wilson Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
