Constance M. Routhier, 70, of Hooksett died September 20, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born on September 30, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Roland and Lorraine (Gravel) Routhier. She grew up in Manchester and attended St. Anthony Grammar School and High School where she was a member of the graduating Class of 1961.
She was employed at General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) in Bedford with over 35 years of service. She resided in Hooksett for 45 years and was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Manchester.
“Connie” was a woman of strong faith who taught CCD classes at St. Peter’s Church in Auburn for many years and loved the challenge of the daily crossword puzzles in the newspaper. She will be remembered as a kind and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be in our hearts forever.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her brother Denis Routhier.
Members of her family include her brother Roland Routhier Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Portsmouth and her sister Annelle Routhier of North Andover, MA as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday September 24 from 4 to 7PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday September 25 at 10:30AM in St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel 145 Lowell St. in Manchester. Private urn burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations in Connie’s name be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood Monastery 700 Bridge St. Manchester, NH 03104 or to the NH Food Bank 700 E. Industrial Park Dr. Manchester, NH 03109.
