Born in Malden, MA on October 24, 1971, the son of Charles and Mary (Peddle) Baron, Christopher grew up primarily in Derry and Manchester, NH. Christopher was a graduate of Central High School in Manchester, class of 1989. He later obtained a Bachelors in Education from Notre Dame College in Manchester. Christopher taught in the Manchester School District for 20 years, primarily as a middle school social studies teacher. Additionally, he was an assistant director of New Morning Schools within the city.
An avid reader and with a love for learning, Christopher enjoyed and excelled at activities that challenged his brain despite his diagnosis. Crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and the tv show, “Jeopardy” were some of his favorites. Following current events through the newspaper was a daily occurrence. A lover of Boston sports, he regularly followed the Boston Celtics and Red Sox. Music was another great passion of Christopher’s. A hippie at heart, he was an avid fan of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. In his younger days, he could always be found at a music festival. Getaways to the beach and White Mountains provided fond memories and trips to Georgia, VT were a joy. Christopher always marveled at the tremendous sight that was the night’s sky. Prior to his diagnosis, he enjoyed camping with friends, cycling, pickup games of basketball, and participating in his children’s extracurriculars to include soccer, dance, and Cub Scouts. A devout communicant of St. Pius X Parish in Manchester, NH, he attended mass on a regular basis.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Jacinta (LeClair) Baron of 22 years, daughter, Gabrielle Baron, and son, Nathaniel Baron, all of Hooksett, NH. His mother, Mary (Peddle) Baron of Londonderry, NH, brother, Matthew Baron and his wife Joy, and sister, Lindsey Baron of Rochester, NY. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Christopher is predeceased by his father Charles F. Baron, “Charlie.”
